Hi, I wanted to say, I had a typing error in my last entry that may have confused some. Calbear didn't tell me about the Dell guy, M dog did, and I must have been thinking about two things at once.

Well...I coulda told ya about Dell guy, if you asked.
Saw the KC Symphony tonight. Played Rossini's Semiramide Overture, Mendelsohn's Italian Symphony and Brahms'Second Symphony. What a great night of music (not that it can compare to the SMS band when they played in KC last year)! But it's the best we can do up here. The new music director conducted and it's obvious he is well liked by the musicians. They were as good and enthusiastic as I have ever heard them. The conductor, Michael Stern, broke his baton during the Rossini piece, then told the audience he had broken it at the same part of the music last night. Who says classical music is not exciting? The broken piece went flying into the woodwinds, sending them scattering in all directions. No eyes were put out nor were any musicians harmed in the performance of that piece. Stern claims not to be soliciting donations for a new supply of batons.
